DECA

DECA is an International Association of marketing students who come together to "prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe."

March 2011 I competed at the Virginia State Leadership Conference in Norfolk, Virginia. I presented a Professional Selling Event to a series of judges who presented me with an outstanding performance award. My power point presentation and ideas stood out among my competitors and I was given the opportunity to walk up on stage to receive my unique medal. 

This year I will be competing at the district and state level with a group of aspiring entrepreneurs as we conquer a Written Entrepreneur Event. Hopefully our marketing skills will take us to the next level and give us the option to compete in Salt Lake City, Utah at the International Career Development Conference!
